Horned Tomatoes worms!! It's an invasion! Help Me Please!!?
Question:I walked out to my beautiful gargen this morning, only to find the leaves stripped and these big fat mutha's lounging on my stems, one actually smiled at me! I pulled his fat *** off and threw him in the pond, there must have been at least a dozen. They are discusting, how do I kill them ? Will 7 dust work?? I need help FAST, they are destroying my pepper and tomatoe plants. I think I pulled them all off, but there sneaky little boogers and kinda hard to find. What do I do? I heard that they will actually sting you with that little horn, is that true??
Answers:
just get some 5% sevin dust and dust the plant and the tomatoes, it will not harm you but it will kill the worms
There is a product called Bug-getta that is in pellet form. You spread the pellets around the base of the stem and it kills the worms. They can't hurt you with the horn so just pull them off the plants and squash 'em!
sorry but the title intrigued me!...I don't know the cure but how about a 'fear factor' show with your friends and have them eat them!!!

They're pretty tame. Catch them, then put them in jars with a stick and a leaf so they will think they are not in a jar ,but in nature where sticks and leaves are allover. Then give them a good talking to and be sure they know to never bother your tomatoes again. Finally go inside to enjoy a nice cold glass of V8. Anyway, your problem is too far advanced to do anything. Your plant's roots are likely totally destroyed because that's where they eat until all the good stuff is gone and they work their way up the plant. If they're allover like you say all hope is lost so you may as well make friends.
Yes, they burrow into the soil. I have...or should I say HAD tomato plants too. But not to worry, I found this awesome resource called a "grocery store".
