Would like to advertise online, in Canada, to get rid of household belongings?
Question:I am a pack rat, I have several boxes of dishes, ornaments, framed pictures, clothing etc. to get rid of. I also have a four post solid oak cannonball leg dining table w/extra leaf, a dehumidifier and a brand new coleman sleeping bag/good for -140-celsius, and lots of other good stuff.

Here is a link for you..it is called" craigs list" ..register for an account...it is free...then you can post these items for free under a listing in your part of Canada...this is A free service..and you get alot of responses...once registered and you dont see uch from the home page after you sign in on the upper left hand corner will see a blue hightlighted "craigs list" there..click on it..it will take you to a page that on the right hand side you can click. your country ,local and all and it will take you to the lists for that area. Look around for the
post" up top and clikc ti once you are in your local page..easy done and stuff sells quick
Hi. Local papers, flyers posted in supermarkets, libraries etc. work. I personally love www.craigslist.com for selling and purchasing household items. they do have a Canadian site. google base offers free ads, and yahoo classifieds offers free ads.

First two answers are good - craigs list. Things you cannot sell or you want to give away can be listed on Freecycle.

Remember anything you offer has to be free; no advertising or selling
When posting an item you wish to give away, put
Offer: +description of item in the subject.
When the item(s) have been picked up
re-post with
Taken: +description of item in the subject.
Caution: be careful about having them sent to your E-Mail, you could be flooded unwanted E-Mails it is a very active freecycle site.
