Spider in my car; almost crashed this morning; help..?

Question:Ok, I've read and read and read about how basically nothing will get the spider out of my car except for a spray/bug bomb if I do it tonight. Problem is, I need to get home first without driving off a cliff. I've read 'turn on the ac' or...open the windows...are those good suggestions? If so; I'm scared of it somehow getting blown by the wind and landing on me :-( lol Will moth balls drive it out if I load my car up with them; I know the stink but I don't care. And finally; if I use a spray ...will it damage my car any? What will it do to the interior?

Answers:
Vacuum the area where you have found spiders. Make sure you get their egg sacs as well. The egg sacs look a lot like little cocoons, but they're usually fixed to a surface with a thick layer of webbing. There are spider sprays and spider repellents that you can use to keep spiders out. There are many vendors of pest repellents on the internet. Some are organic, others are not.

Remember, spiders like to eat other bugs. So, if you spray for other pests, you'll diminish the spiders' food supply and make your car a less inviting place to find a meal.

Are you serious? It's one little spider and he probably is more freaked out than you, just leave him alonf, I bet ya he's probably gone anyway.
What type of spider is it?

My opinion is to find the spider and squash it with something. Tissue, book, a flip-flop sandal. Yeah, they are icky to some people but you are bigger than it and it won't hurt you.

Rather than risk your interior or loading your car with moth balls.
Good luck with this, I know tons of people who hate the little creatures.

Ref. the spray - it would depend on what it is-usually the makers say if it might harm furniture / coverings etc. I don't know of any for spiders though. You could mix some of your own with washing up liquid and see how this works.

Otherwise, get someone to take a look who isn't so bothered by them and get them to remove it for you. At least then you'd know it's not hiding anywhere.

Good luck and take care when driving!
Hi, I am amused but only because I am just like you - and there's no way I would get in the car and drive home knowing I could crash because of a stupid little spider!
I can only tell you what I would do in this situation, but- I am not urging you to take my advice!

I would call the AAA or my dad LOL, to come and tow my car, or a Taxi and spray inside my car(not directly onto the interior fabrics) and close the door real quick!

OR do you have those parking lot, car washer people ---- Get them to "Valet" your car inside, and hopefully they get it or suffocate it with their cleaning substances? That's actually not a bad idea!!

good, luck!
If it were me, I'd just tuck my pants into my socks, keep my mouth shut tight and drive home. The spider is probably more scared of you than you are of it. Most spiders are harmless, once you get to know them. :)
