How can I find out if I have the mineral rights to my property?

Question:

Answers:
Check the title, check the deed, check all the paperwork you've got on the property...somewhere buried in this stuff will be the mineral rights clause. If you were the purchaser [or if it came down to you from parents, etc.] your realtor might be useful in identifying which paperwork would have this in it. Hope we're talking oil, gold or diamonds, OK?

depends on your state, but unless you have actually FILED for the mineral rights, chances are you are SOL.
It should be on the deed if they are usually sold in your area. You can also go down to the records office at the court house and look up the information on you property.
