So I bought live lady bugs to get rid of the bugs on my roses?
Question:but I put them out last night - according to the directions and I don't see many of them today. Did I waste my money? Anyone else use them instead of spraying bad chemicals?? Curious - thanks!

I've had good luck with ladybugs for aphid control. You probably lost a lot of them, they're bad for flying off, but no worries, there are plenty still hanging out in your area. As long as there is a steady food supply, they'll stick around.
I Love ladybugs too... however they do go the way God intended... lol... However, try using dishsoap mixed 1 tsp to 1 gal water. and put in a sprayer and spritz both sides the plants leaves... Do this in the early morning before the sun hits them. It will get rid of those nasty aphids!
You have to blast your roses with a hose and soapy water-not just spray them. Then use a systemic insecticide like Orthene.
The lady bugs chose their own digs and have left for greener pastures.
