The faucet in my kitchen just fell of and i looked up it and there was green mold, was the water safe to drink

Question:i reattached it but should i drink from it?

Answers:
The green is corrosion of the brass the faucet is made from, not mold. Nothing to worry about from a safety standpoint. I could indicate a slow leak in the faucet, so you may want to watch it a bit to make sure there is not another problem.

Id say it was probably safe.. Did u atleast clean it out before reattaching it on?
Yes. Should be completely fine. There's thousands of creatures living in water in general, they're a great source of minerals for the human body. A little green mould is probably healthy for you. You can't imagine what's in the pipes further down the track so I wouldn't worry about your faucet.
If you're worried boil your water but I think you're imune system would suffer - all those little bugs help keep us health by keeping our imune system busy.
You should have cleaned it out, and no you should never drink straight non filtered tap water, excpecially since it had green mold growing in it!!
