How to get rid of ants?

Question:

Try this stuff called Terro; it comes in a clear syrup form. You can get it at the hardware store or check the hardware aisle at the grocery store. The ants will be attracted like it's a sugar mixture and take it back with them to the den to the rest of the little buggers. I had a problem with the big black ones and this worked.

For sugar ants, those that will eat sugar, they sell a bait whose name I no longer recall that they carry back to the hill and it kills them all.
spary with raid
get some ant killer
I'm assuming you're referring to small sugar ants in your home. Sprinkle baby powder or draw a line of chalk at doorways and window sills. Ants won't cross it because the dust gets in their breathing receptacles. For the ones already inside, be sure all food, pet food is cleaned up, floors, counters, and sinks are free of anything to attract them and they should go away soon.
Here in UK there is a product call Nippon.
A gel in a tube, and you get two saucers to squeeze it into. The ants go for it like crazy, and they take it back to the nest and feed it to the whole colony. Wipes them out completely in a couple of days....the same colony/nest/location is never used again by ants.
