Why is the water from my dehumidifier toxic to plants?

Question:

Answers:
If you have a mold or mildew problem in the basement (wherever the dehumidifier is), then YES it is toxic, BUT if you don't & you just have it to prevent mold & mildew, then it is NON-TOXIC. Take care & God bless

Serious? I didn't know that. I have been dragging the water up from the basement and putting on the lawn. Looking forward to the answers! Sorry, it is not an answer, but I am intrigued now.
My best guess is that it contains mold that has grown in your dehumidifier and the plants don't "like" that.
It's not. Where did you get such erroneus information? The water is free. Use it.
