There is an oder in my house that smells fishy and rubbery, it only appears at night, what could be causing it

It sounds strange, but look for some wiring that's getting too hot. If it only appears at night, is there something that you're turning on at night? (A space heater, fan, or night light?)
I work at a restaurant (we don't have any seafood), and whenever something electric is about to go out, I can smell exactly what you've described--fish. It's the smell of the wires burning through the cover.
Call your water company and see if they can come out and inspect your pipes.

It could be your diposal or maybe it is coming up through the drain it's self. If it is the disposai put baking soda in it and leave it over night then the next morning pour some white vinegar in it. Let it bubble for a minute or so then turn on the water and run the disposal. It may take several treatments. The important thing is to leave it in the disposal over night without running the water to give it a chance to deoderize the unit. Good luck!
