Answers:
Hmmmmm-everywhere and anywhere??
Lots of roaches like hundreds, maybe thousands of little brown ones, or lots of big black or dark brown roaches like 2 or 3 per day?
If its just occasional 2 or 3 every now and them- go to Lowe's and get some roach baits. It takes a while but it works.
If you are over run with many, many small brown roaches every day-then you are in trouble. You will need an exterminator. More than likely you will go through 3 or 4 exterminators before you can find one who can do the job. Forget Sears, Orkin, Terminix-they can not do the job. But they will be happy to take your money. You will need a local Pest Control Operator who has been in business there for years. Call them up and talk to them. Get them to look at the job, and discuss it with you. If you have German roaches-you are in for a battle. And if that is what it is. They do not come in from outside. They live with people. And they are hard to get rid of. You may want to talk to your county agent-they may can help.
Bengal Roach Spray, Roach motels, 20 Mule Team Borax (only if you don't have pets or small kids around). Keep everything really clean and dry out the sinks & tub when you're done so they don't have anything to come in for!
Roaches are attracted by poor housekeeping. If there was nothing for them to eat, they would not be attracted.
Small particles of food can fall between or behind appliances in the kitchen. Further, if you are taking snacks / meals into other rooms of the house, the same problem can occur.
Also - if you had the cleanest living space on Earth, you can still have roaches, if you live in an apartment building with other tenants. If they (the other tenants) are poor house keepers, the roaches will be attracted to their apartments and the multiplying roaches can spill over into your apartment.
Three priorities:
1) thoroughly clean your living space spotlessly - everywhere, and keep your living space spotless at all times
2) watch where food goes around your living space - no food, no temptation for roaches
3) plug all holes, cracks and openings along walls and floor boards - also check where pipes go through the wall in the kitchen and bathrooms - the circular metal covers often work loose and roaches push their way through the gaps
Cleanliness is key. Get some Raid and do treatments along the baseboards, entrances, under furniture. Clean up messes immediately. Sweep daily to pick up food particles. Wash dishes right away. Keep trash can lids closed.
