Radiator heat balancing?

Question:What is the most effective way of balancing all radiators in the house so that they give out about similar heat...at the moment my furthest radiator is not as warm as the rest of the others in the house. Is it a matter of using the individual thermostat valve control ? or does each lockseal play a part? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Answers:
Sounds like more of an insulation problem. If the pipes are not properly insulated by the time the water reaches the furthest radiators it is cooler and therefore does not produce as much heat in the room.

If your system was installed with balancing valves like a commercial system you could balance it but almost no residential systems have balancing valves.

Radiators cannot be balanced. You will have to put another zone on your furnace.
