Try registering with www.findabuilder.co.uk they have a section for plasterers. Also try putting an advert in local papers for a week or two and see if you get any job offers thru that.
A website is great but not everyone has a computer. You should get letters of references from anyone he has done work for and have them on file to show prospective clients. You at first should do a lot of advertising and once established and if he is good and reasonable and answers all telephone calls to clients (most contractors say they will call back or will come on certain days and do not even call with an excuse, which infuriates people) word of mouth will be his best advertising and work will soon come. Try also to do some community advertising by donating to charities in the community and having his company name associated with the donation. Good luck.
I can't help you with the site but have a couple more suggestions. Put ads in your local paper and have some business cards printed. We did that when my hubby started his electrical business. Hand the cards out to anyone you come across. They are inexpensive to have printed and you will be surprised at the calls they will generate. Good luck.
If your town or city has to issue building permits for new construction go to city hall and ask for the list of permits that were issued. They are public record. Then he/you go around with business cards and leave them at the house that is being built (at the front door if there is one yet) and hopefully someone will find it and give you a call.
Go out and meet people and/or contractors. Any good plasterer is worth their weight in gold.
