How do I get rid of these red beetles that are munching on my flowers??
Question:Have an infestation of these bright red bugs- Looks like a scarab about 0.5cm from top to end. Start off as bright red eggs, then a reddish blackish blobby worm- then this bright red beetle.

mix some vinegar in with water in a water bottle and spray all the leaves. Do a small amount so you dont mess up the PH in the soil.
Burn your garden down they wont come back then
Talstar One (contains bifenthrin). Kicks the crap out of most bugs. I love the stuff. Just be careful, it's strong stuff.
most likely japanese beetles. very hard to get rid of. You should be able to get an insectcide for them at at home depot or walmart
I swear by Seven Dust. You can find it in America at any local hardware store. Sprinkle the affected plants and those surrounding the infestation (just so the bugs don't move to greener pastures) in the morning when the dew is still on th plants.
The dust will stay put thanks to the dew and kill the little boogers.
Wear gloves and long pants/ shirt just in case you may have a reaction to the dust.
I don't react to it but it would be better to be safe than sorry.
use Sevin dust. 5% or 10%. a cheap, relatively non toxic to mammals, pesticide. dust it on the flowers. available at any wal mart, lawn and garden center, home depot, etc.

If you have Beatles in your garden call Yoko Ono. She'll break them up.
Sounds like Lily Beetles. Pick them off, and like Vine Weevils, break their backs by crushing them either between your fingers or standing on the little b's!
Would you know the names of those red beetles...I could look up and tell you what to do?
