Question:
Answers:
Kill them quick with fly spray. You need to find what is attracting them. Chances are you have some dead things up there. Bird, mice or a body perhaps? Get rid of the dead thing and the flys will be gone.
Just empty a can of fly killer into the loft. Squirt it through the loft access. That should see them off.
play a des O'conner album to scare them off, or val dunican
fly spray to start with..but you need to go & make sure there isnt something like a dead bird rotting away somewhere - that is causing the problem in the first place - it can happen.
We had this problem at work one of our office's was always full of the really big blue bottle type fly , we got rent a kill in , who let off a smoke bomb , did the job .
not sure if this applies to you , but if you have the small low voltage halogen lamps in your ceiling , because the back of them is exposed to keep them cool , the flies are attracted by the light
Find out what it is that is attracting them to your home. Once you do; eliminate the source that is causing them to get in your house. Other whys you will just keep getting them. For a less toxic way of getting rid of them put up some fly tape where they are hanging around them most. If you have a compost pile near your place try moving to a further location. If you just throw away your vegetables peelings (etc, etc) put them in bag first, then tie the it close before tossing it out in to a trash can (one with a lid works better).
Inspect the loft and find out where the flies are nesting. Install an attic ventilator and blow them away. Flies and mosquitoes have a hard time flying in moving air.
You get these cute fly traps. They consist of two parts, the bottom is a container with liquid bait, and the top is a funnel shaped thing that lets the flies crawl through and then they can“t get out again. See if you can hang it just outside the loft under the eaves. Then you can catch the blighters before they come in. The bait lasts about 3 to 6 months depending on how may get caught and the weather.
