I'd like to plant a garden but my yard is covered in shade.?

Question:I'd like to plant a vegetable garden of some sort in our backyard but its covered in shade fromt all trees. We rent the property and cannot cut the trees down. Are there any vegetables that grown in little to no sunlight?

Answers:
I don't know of anything that will produce without direct sunlight. If you have any area on your property with direct sunlight even if it's only for a few hours a day, use it. Plant your vegetables with flowers. It's not necessary to keep them all in the same area. I have a real shady yard and I just combine my flowers with them, like my green beans. I made a wire tube shaped cage to run them on and planted marigolds and other flowers around them. It really looks good. Hope this helps!
