How to organise spring cleaning?

I take a pad of paper all around my house and write down all the deep down, nitty gritty cleaning I can think of that needs done. I put that on my computer several years ago and made a checklist by room, leaving several open slots for jobs that I thought of or came across later. I print that list off every year and cross off jobs as I get them done. When I finish a room, I deposit five dollars in my "me" jar. When I'm done, I've got some money for a special treat for myself!
I'm a little confused with this question. I assume you want to clean your house. Have you ever heard of the fly lady. She is wonderful.
