Either or - I have one in my garden pond
Plant callas lilies outdoors in a location that gets bright, morning light. They like some late afternoon shade, particularly in hot-summer areas. Keep them well-watered and weeded. Callas grow best in a moist soil that includes some organic matter. Plant the bulbs 4 to 6 inches deep and 1 to 2 feet apart. They can be planted 6 to 12 inches apart when grown in pots. Fertilize monthly with a good all-purpose fertilizer.
A Calla Lily plant can be kept either inside or outside. They bloom in June and July, so it's probably best to keep it outside right now, depending on where you live.
Depends on where you live. If you live up north where it gets really cold, below zero, you need to bring it in when the weather gets to getting cooler in the fall but in the south you can leave it out all winter. prefers lots of sunshine but a bit of shade in the late afternoon would do good, lots of good fertile soil and good moisture level. With that, you should get many years of enjoyment from it. Separate it from time to time to make more but mainly in the fall and you can share it too.
Depending on where you live, you can keep it both inside and outside, wherever you like. If you want to plant it outdoors, make sure you wait until there is no chance of frost. And bring it back indoors during the fall or whenever it starts to get chilly again.

There are more specific directions for planting and watering at the source link.
It is an outdoor plant.from a bulb.If they are protected in winter they will come back and I let my bloom mature and then planted the little buds on that and they came up this year but haven't bloomed yet.If you have Iris they will have a big seed pod,,,but let it dry first then get the seeds out...
It will be OK outside for the summer but needs to be kept frost free during the winter.
I keep mine in the garage during winter and outside in a large pot during the summer. Just make sure it is well watered if it is in a pot.
