What would keep a fan on a drinking fountain to never shut off? the water does get cold.?

Question:there is good airflow thru the vents after i cleaned the fins.

Maybe a thermostat..Refrigerators have them so why not a water cooler.?

If the fan is hooked up to a thermostat, that controls when it goes on and off, then the thermostat is not working properly. The other case would be that the fan is hooked up to direct power, then it would never shut off, and you would know if it constantly runs, or not. If it is direct power, hook it up to a small switch, or a thermostat. GOOD LUCK------J Hill
