Garden pests?

Question:I am putting plastic forks upside down in my veggie beds ... will that stop cats from digging? Any other non tocis tips? I bought cayenne liquid but the stuff irritates our own cats.

I use the forks also. Another thing is pine cones. Is there a difference in your cats digging and other cats digging? I buy the cheap cayanne and chili powder from the dollar store to sprinkle in the garden also.

Usually animals dislike the smell of marigolds and planting them in and around your garden keep out pets.

So I was told anyway. I know they stay away from flower gardens I put in, but haven't personally tried them in a veggie garden.
