How much do you spend on groceries a month?
Question:we have a budget of £100 and thats for nappies/toiletries and cleaning products too. theres me, my partner and 2 year old son. what do you spend?
Answers:
I must be the only person that's not surprised or shocked that you only spend 100. I spend about 200 U.S. on food and extras for me, my husband, and 2 small boys. I use coupons, buy generic, and buy whats on sale or clearance. Sometimes we can get to about 300 a month but that's because I buy a lot of snack foods; cashews, beef jerky, individual juice boxes for the kids, basically things like that.
How do you manage to survive on such a small amount. You must really struggle.
I spend £250 a month at least, and there are the four of us.
I spend in the region of £500 per month. There are 2 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs and a cat in our household.
How do you survive on only £100?? I wish I could do that!
$125.00 US . One person and one cat. I buy in bulk at stores like Aldi, Save-a lot. Never buy name brands, cut coupons and use Store reward cards.
about 100CAN for myself and dog, this amount also includes a planned surplus of 40% for friends, members of my community in need and the occasional dinner guest.
That includes toiletries and cleaning agents I can't make myself, an organic whole food gluten free diet, and and 20 for the occasional treats for him or me.
I know what you mean whatever is left over is what is leftover. Some months a little more some a little less. I buy most of my food direct from the farmer and I grow the rest. I fish for my own fish and am given about 15lbs of game meats a year by hunting buddies.
I grind my own flour as needed to make my own bread, every year I go through my community and find the berry bushes and stock up for the year and I do the same for nuts. People think I am nuts but they are happy to let me clean their yard in exchange for keeping the nuts.
Myself and my girlfriend spend about 300 per month..Sometimes more but we buy drinks too..
if thats weekly that's good!
wow can't believe you only spend that, you must divulge!! and i really don't mean that in a sarcastic way. My hubby would love it if i only spent that amount. there are 3 of us in my house hold plus a cat, i used to spend about £450 - £500 a month but then started shopping at asda and my bill has definitely halved which is fantastic.
I'd say that's very frugal of you. I bet you cook well and use raw ingrediants instead of ready meals too!
There's two of us and I spend £35 a week, about £150 a month. It includes alcohol and some fairly luxury end items too. I'm a foodie!
We spend far too much, I would say about £200 for the two of us and a dog.
I am planning to grow most of the veg myself, as it is the most expensible. Berries are super-expensive, so I am looking at container-growing, but of course there is the initial costs to start growing.
