The best way is to sprinkle Cinnamon aroung all your window sills and along doorways. You can use it both inside and out but I suggest just inside otherwise it could get costly. Besides inside you only have to do it once a year.
Here another eco friendly way. put one cup or freesh or one half cup of dried spearmint leaves in a blender. Fill the blender with water and pulverize for 30 seconds. Strain out the liquid and apply to areas wher you have ant problems. You can use a hand held spayer for this. Apply every two weeks to keep ants under controll.
Give them a try, they really work.
Hire an exterminator. We have to every summer of else ants invade our sink.
I usually spray Ortho Home Defense around the outside of the house and around the baseboards inside. It usually does the trick, but if you have a major ant problem, you might need to go with an exterminator.
