Themes for a room?

I am trying to think up of a theme for two rooms, living room and my bedroom that goes with both genders? any ideas?

Honestly, i like the sky theme... I mean you dont have to put clouds in your walls, but a nice tone of blue works wonders after a hard days work... Trust me... Im a guy and i love it!!
I like the clean look of the tropics, with lots of color.
Your best bet would be to go to Borders and pick up either an interior decorating book, magazine or Architectural Digest. There are millions of options, depending on both of your tastes. Show him the magazines and ask him/her what needs he/she has for both of those rooms, think about what you need, assess what furniture you want to keep, and if there is a common style or color, you may want to work within that to save money and ease in coming up with ideas.
