What kind of ant bait/trap works best for getting rid of ants?
Question:I live in a wooded area and there have been a lot of ants coming into my house.
Answers:
Here in Southern California we get mostly Argentine ants, a foreign pest that has replaced the native ants.
I started off with Terro, a clear liquid bait that the ants drink and then take back to the colony where they share the poison with their buddies, supposedly killing them all.
It might work, but perhaps it was too slow, or I just had too many ants so I had to resort to pesticide.
But they sure did like that Terro.
an exterminator
cornmeal will kill ants and its safe!
I found this out on accident... The ants we have near my house (in Southern CA) won't walk over liquid dishsoap. I was able to draw a line in front of my doors and windows with the liquid dishsoap and they stopped coming in. The soap picks up dirt after a few days, which the ants WILL walk over, so you have to wash it away and reapply periodically.
Good luck!
