How much do people charge to mow and trim lawns, under & over 1 acre?

Question:We are thinking of trying this. We have all the necessary equipment and a trailer to haul with. We are in NE Tennessee, and many folks have about an acre of land. Being unemployed for some time, my husband thought we might try this.

Answers:
We have about two acres mowed. The company that does it charges $90.00. That includes trimming with a weedwacker and blowing the grass from patio and driveway! They are careful not to cut the bark off trees with the mowers or the trimmers. I live in a state similiar to TN..rural...mountains.et...

How about calling a local landscaper and asking them how much they would charge to cut the 1 acre. get as much detail as you can and lower your price by 5% to get the business.

Good luck!

Wouldn't hurt to take some landscaping courses just in case someone wants more than a cut yard.
First you wanna look at the type of land. is it easy to cut or difficult. then talk to the person and try to find out their monetary situation. go to a more wealthy neighborhood, (as those rich bums have money to throw away). for under an acre it depends heavealy on how big or small. for over an acre at least 50 dollars. dont charge by the hour as some would think you might take your time. with a flat fee you will build trust and thus build a good relationship. by the way yall are so lucky to have Vince Young. im over in austin and im waiting for a super bowl for tennessee. Go Titans!
