Roof moss how to kill it?
Question:
Answers:
Some people spray a bleach/water mix on it but it will come back.
There is a zink strip you can nail to the roof near the peak that will inhibit moss, mildew, fungus etc...
I would probably just leave it alone - the more stuff you do to it, the faster you lose roofing material thereby shortening the life of your roof. Moss won't hurt it.
Scrape it off every 2-3 years
with a stick
I would spray it with a solution of bleach and water and after a few days carefully scrape or power wash it off.
I have read that if you put a strip of copper along your roof ridge, the moss will not grow back. As rain water drains from the copper, it releases a very small amount of solution that prevents moss from growing.
Its not eating anything, so leave it alone. Under NO circumstances must you power wash it. Source BBC investigating rogue tradespersons
I believe a copper wash will kill it. then arrange for a copper wire to be put just below the ridge tiles on each side. As the rain runs over the wire it will take some of the copper down the roof and continue to keep the roof tiles clean.
