What's the difference between a cabin and a cottage?

Question:What makes a cottage a cottage? What makes a cabin a cabin?

Answers:
A cottage, is more the summer place you ideally have near a lake, homey and comfortable. A cabin is more something you would go to in the woods, to hunt or fish, rougher finish.

Cabins are usually "camps" with no actual electricity or running water while a cottage implies something more "cushy". Hope that helps.
all depends on how much time you spend there
