Do daybeds use standard twin mattresses?

Question:Or is there a difference between a twin matress and one intended for a daybed?

Answers:
a standard twin mattress is 75" long and a twin-long is 80" long. Generally speaking the day beds will take a twin-long mattress.

Mine does. If it says it's a twin daybed, then it will use a twin mattress. Measure your springs, and you'll probably see that it will fit a twin mattress.
Yes. The one I have does.
Hey Rotee,

Yes, daybeds use standard size twin mattresses. And the even better thing about daybeds is you can get a trundle unit to go with the daybed (standard twin mattress fits that also). Then you have an additional twin bed when you need it, or you can put both beds together (if you have the room) for the equivalent of a king-size bed. Very versatile!

I found this information at http://all-about-daybeds.com/daybed_pop_...

Hope That Helps,

Abby
