Why do people hate dandelions?

MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE PEOPLE DIDN'T GET THEIR WISHES?
because they reproduce so quickly and the people who hate them want a perfect carpet of grass.

I actually like them. When I was little I used to believe that if you made a wish and then blew the little seeds away, your wish would come tru.. lol..
They have roots, which is difficult to remove.
Even if u remove top of dandelion root, the remained bottom part will reproduce dandelion again. It is very hard to get rid of all dandelions from plant if u want to cultivate some useful culture. You have to hate them if you are farmer. :)
But, personally, i think, that dandelions meadow looks very beautiful, especially on spring :)

usually boiled with lemon, and olive oil, they are fantastic.
A little bitter but excellent.
You can actually buy them at large supermaekets, or pick them yourself.They olso produce a great wine...
The reason they are hated, is because they are hard to get rid of when they get in your garden.
Because if you leave them unchecked they will spread and choke out everything else on your lawn. So, people who like to have a perfect yard kind of go crazy over getting rid of them.
My daughter loves them.
They were originally brought over with some early colonists, I've heard, because of their medicinal properties.
I don't like them only because they make the lawn look so ratty when they go to seed. If they'd keep their stems short, I'd tolerate the puff ball, but they shoot up above everything else.
