Why would only like half of our house we are renting lose power?
Question:Our house is an older one. None of the circuit breakers were thrown and this has happened several times for the past few days.

The wiring is on two different breakers!! ummm,its has to be that the wiring is the house is on different breakers. could be part of the house was added on later and thats why the wiring is different!! ok maybe there's a ghost in the house!! lol seriously i bet the house was added onto and the wiring is on different breakers and there is a short somewhere and I would be calling an electrician before you have a fire!!
You likely have a bad connection on 1 of the 2 power wires supplying the home. It could be between the meter and your panel (your responsible) or between the street transformer and the meter (power co. responsible) Get it tested.
