What's the best way to keep mice out of your house?

The most effective method that I have found is one of the electronic pest repellers. They work by emitting an ultrasonic signal that disrupts the lives of most household pests. The better models also have a variable pitch and vol;ume and can penetrate walls and floors to reach them in their nests. They will soon grow tired of the irritant and relocate. They are not recommended if you keep small rodents (hamsters, gerbils, etc.) or spiders as pets. There are no apparent ill effects to humans or pets such as dogs or cats. I hope that this is of some assistance to you.
I have 3 cats i am trying to find homes for they are unaltered males they "love" mice. you can reach me at framepro_2000@yahoo.com. p.s. they "like" birds too :)
Don't leave anything edible out where the little critters can get to it.
Move!!
Get a couple cats. We have 2 cats and it works for us! Never had a rat or mouse in our house.
Get a cat!
My First suggestion is:
Make them an offer they cannot refuse! Cheese and a big metal trap! I suggest the big metal kind that catches them alive and is frequently found in farm or feed stores, some hardware stores. You then can humanely release them so you can both be peaceful.
My Second Suggestion is: Love a playful cat that still knows it is a cat. The down side to this suggestion is that if they love you, they often bring you little gifts…such as little struggling mice! However, if you keep your mind on the original goal, both suggestions are effective.
