What is the best way to get rid of buck thorn?

I made the mistake of planting "Tall Hedge Buckthorn" in my earlier days. I have been paying the price ever since.

The only way to deal with those millions of seedlings, in my experience, is to use Round Up. You can keep pulling them by hand for ever, but you'll never keep up. If the seedlings are in areas with other plant growth you want to protect, you'll have to paint the Round Up on with a paintbrush.
