Should I or should I not buy those info-mmercial SPACE BAGS?
Question:My family and I are planning to move @ the end of the month but Im a lil skeptical about this bags over the reviews that I seeing so far. We have alot of thick blankets to carry and need the space for storing ...

They don't always last for a very long time as the plastic tends to dry out and crack..for short term they should be okay. I have found that many have leaks as well...perhaps the new ones have been improved since I purchased mine.
They are designed to make money for them first an foremost. They are not thick enough, and will actually tear after or during the first use.
I bought some heavy duty trash bags and put my blankest in them, then stuck my vacummn cleaner hose in there and sucked the air out, quickly twist the bag shut and double it over and put some big rubber bands on it to tie them shut. Works just as well as the space bags at a fraction of the cosst.. Just be sure you put the hose between the blankest and not up agains the plastic of the bag when you start sucking the air out. You may have to redo them after a time but it is worth the time compared to the cost.
Number One: You should NOT store any fabric in plastic. It draws moisture and creates mildew!!
That being said, I wouldn't waste your money!
I bought a bunch when we moved. I found that about half of them do not hold the seal -- they suck down fine, but ten minutes later, they are full of air again. I wouldn't waste your money.
I actually had some of these bags and loved them. The only reason I don't use them now is my cats discovered them and poked holes in them. So if you have cats keep them away.
