Spiders in toilet?
Question:I keep on finding these large spiders in my bathroom and I can't figure out where they are coming from. There is an electric heater that has no connections to anything besides electricity, a fan that is connected to a vent, and some drains. What is the most likely place they are coming from? is it possible that they crawl up the drains? also, what is the best way to stop them from coming in?
Answers:
Although, I have seen a spider walk around under water in a pool once, I think it is unlikely they are coming in from the drains (water in traps), but I wouldn't totally rule it out. More likely from vent fan, which is exposed to outside. Or they could be coming from another source. Try spraying Spectricide Indoor/outdoor spray. I used it inside and outside our house. Took care of spiders, wood roaches, everything. Works great!
I can't believe spiders can swim underwater, which is the only way they can come from the drain. I think you have a few nests in your walls, they like the bath best because of the humidity. Bug bomb once a week and you will be spider free.
most certainly the fan, coming through the vent. although it is possible that there maybe be a small crack or crevice somewhere in the bathroom that you haven't noticed. but spiders, or anything for that matter, do not come up from drains, unless you just attempted to wash them down a moment before.
My adopted son is a exterminator and he told me that a spider could hold their breath in water for up to 4 days or longer! Watch it when you sit you might get bitten!! ho
Wow wee! Spiders in the toilet? That's like snakes on a plane! Anyway,.while i doubt that that's the actual source, there are spiders that can form an air bubble around their heads and therefore, breath under water. Fortunately, they cannot breath under chlorine bleach. Dump a couple of gallons through your toilet. Nothing alive will come up through there for a while. (we use this 'technique' to get rid of "waterbugs")
oh dude. you just made my skin crawl. ugh. run away. run away. move. head for the hills. or do the hills have more spiders? omg. how am i ever going to be able to use a toilet again? that is just so gross. (by the way, i don't know if you can tell, but i really hate spiders a lot). i am so sorry for what you are going through. are they the spiders with those nasty long legs? those spiders are just plain stupid and always seem to get themselves into perilous situations.
i wish i had some helpful advice. my guess is that you simply had a spider nest hatch, which is why you are finding so many in one area. it happened to me with one of my couches. that was the worst summer of my entire freakin life.
wait. i do have some helpful advice. get yourself some bug bombs and just bomb the heck out of your whole house. come to think of it; i'm going to do that this weekend to my house. tomorrow as a matter of fact. i will not be able to sleep peacefully any more until i do. bombs away and good luck.
