I'm addicted to waveless waterbeds so I doubt I could help. Altho I hear those posturepedic(sp) mattresses are really comfortable. And the wine glass test does work.
Well, they have whats called Tempur-Pedic beds... But look to spend about 2k for a queen! Then they have whats called the Posture-Pedic, same as the Tempur Pedic, expensive! Now, for me being the avg Joe guy, i went ahead and bought a semi-firm pillowtop full size bed, i spent about 500 bucks and sleep like a baby!!
Hi! Lisa, my wife and I just purchased a new bed and base, we bought one of the new type with separate springs in the mattress, unlike the older style where they are wired together and when your partner moves the whole spring system is affected. With this new system, only the springs that have pressure applied to them react, so I now do not feel my wife move in bed during the night nor do I feel her get up in the morning. Another thing we bought was a pair of pure Latex pillows, man they are like sleeping on a cloud, well worth the money.
We had a semi-waveless waterbed for years, and I loved it. But then my husband had back surgery, and it was too hard for him to get out of the waterbed. He tried some waveless waterbeds, but still had trouble. Plus his doctor told him he didn't think waterbeds were good for your back. So he bought a Sealy Extraordinaire Plush Firm. It's an extra firm mattress with a plush top made into it. I was upset that he bought it at first, since I loved my waterbed so much, and because it was expensive. And the first week I slept on it, my ribs actually hurt because I am a bony person, and wasn't used to such a firm mattress. But once I got past that, I fell in love with it. It's very comfortable and I sleep very soundly. It's 17 years old now, and feels exactly like it did the day we bought it. I highly recommend it.
