Do they sell some kind of a natural gas detector for the house, like a smoke detector?

Question:

Answers:
YES. They're called gas alarms. Google it.

The only thing i know of is a carbon monoxide detector.
They don't sell that kind of detector because you will never need it. Natural gas is odorless so the gas company adds a smell to it. That way, you will smell it and report to them if there is a leak or problem.
Some gas companies will come and check for gas leaks as a courtesy. If you suspect a leak call the company and have them do an audit on your gas system. This could save you money in the future & also save your life. If you do find a leak you can repair it before anything worse happens (like a fire or gas poisoning.)
