Are all condominiums required to have at least one handicap parking spot ?

Question:My father is disabled and we own (live) in a condo where there are no handicap accessibility.

Answers:
ADA has requirements that your complex must follow. Different properties may vary, so I would look at the guidelines to see how many spaces they require, etc. The community may only require one handicap spot depending on size of the complex. This would mean that it may not be your building that the spot is in front of currently. I am pretty sure that if you tell the complex about your father needing a spot, that the complex should comply with your wishes. If your complex refuses, it may be worthwhile to talk to your local police department, because they very well could be breaking the law.

I believe it is a law according to the American Disabilities Act. Yes.
yeah, since the 80's but no one follows the Disability Act
