Why do my rats do this and how do i stop them?
Question:i have a wood food container that food falls out into the tray as they eat it but they take it all out and sleep in it so i put a wood cover over the tray that they get there food from and put a hole in the wood so there heads cant fit but only there mouth can and now they take all the food out and just sit there and waste there food and it goes bad why do they do that and how do i stop them

what ever method you use do it quickly as rats pose a serious health risk
try feeding them less, maybe that'll teach them a lesson.
Beacause they like to hoard food. It's normal and you should allow them to. They're saving for a rainy day!
