Maybe a dumb queston about an oven...?
Question:ok i just moved into a new apt and when i turn on my oven... on the inside only the bottom heater gets red-hot... the one on the top doesnt... is that normal? does it only go on if you select broil? and stay off it its on bake? thanks

Different ovens are different, but that sounds normal - broil means to heat from above. Some units have only one heating element and the broiler is a small tray located underneath it.
Correct the top only comes on for broil.
