I got this stuff from a garden store to enrich clay soil..it is like pea sized lava rocks?

Question:Will this really help? How would it work? (also have some grass clippings to try...) Peat moss doesn't seem to help keep my tomato plants from dying...of course it would help if I watered them once in awhile...

It will help loosen the soil but, it will not enrich it.
Add compost to your soil to enrich it.
