What is this tiny bug I found crawling on me? Is it a tick? A bedbug?
Question:Sorry I don't have a pic.
This morning I was laying awake in my bed when I noticed something moving across my arm. I looked down and saw a tiny bug crawling across my arm.
It's about the size of the very tip of a sharpened pencil. It has 3 or 4 dark brown and light brown stripes running horizontally down it's body.
I live in Las Vegas.
Any help is appreciated. This really skeeves me out.

It could be a bed bug as they have the stripes. It doesn't sound like a tick. It could be thousands of things. http://www.entm.purdue.edu/publichealth/... This is a chart of the various stages of the bedbug. It's rather large...but you get an idea of what they look like from the drawing.

It might be a bed bug. Try and see if you have any markes on your arm that look like a trail. That will be the indication that the bed bug has been present. The best thing to do it get rid of the bed and start over. Make sure you clean your walls down.
It may be a tick on vacation because I have been to Vegas plenty of times and never seen a tick there before. I live in the Midwest and they are pretty common but unless it's a gambling bug I have never heard of a tick in Las Vegas.
I like the outdoors here and if I get a tick on me I get the "freak outs" for days.
It could be so many things..
silly, you can't see bed bugs with the naked eye...and you probably did have a few of them on you as well.
