Flat bottom square or rectangle pools: Length*Width*Depth*7.48 = Gallons of pool water.
Square/rectangle constant variable depth pools: Length*Width*((Deepest depth + Shallowest depth)/2)*7.48 = Gallons of pool water.
Square/Rectangle hard depth change pools: (Length*Width*Deepest depth)+(Length*Width*Shallowes... depth)*7.48 = Gallons of pool water.

I just read the post about 1cu ft of water = 1 gallon. I'm not sure where that calculation comes from but it's sooooooo wrong, sorry. 1cu ft of water = 7.48 US gallons or 6.228 EU gallons as mentioned.
