What’s the best way I can deal with beetles on my crepe myrtle? Are they harmful? Should I leave them alone?
Question:If they’re not going to do serious damage, I'm willing to let nature proceed — but I don't want to watch them get eaten beyond recogniztion!
Answers:
Japanese beetles almost killed my crepe myrtle last year. At first it looked like nothing was wrong but within a few days it was covered and being eaten.
get yourself a Japanese beetle trap, because if that is what they are they will distroy all of your plants and garden.
i personally think letting them be is harmful to the leaves, the pains eat up all the leaves until it looks like lace is hanging from your tree. not to pretty and that's why it's harmful, it's an eyesore!
