I have friends in England that do not believe the weather that we get up here.
I hear from them how great the weather is down there, what a great summer they are having, what a lovely tan they have from sitting in their own back garden. They do not even have a bad winter!

I do grudge the fact that we are getting all this rain, no lovely summer (so far) no home grown tan - we have to pay a fortune to fly from anywhere in Scotland to have a holiday to get hot weather and the tan. And we usually get a rubbish winter with less daylight hours than England get.

Yes my garden appreciates the rain and the sunshine when it can get it. What I do not appreciate is the implications after last year's heatwave that the Labour government in London want to give the go ahead to put in a
pipline from the North to the south to carry our water down there so that they can water their flowerbeds.

We suffer for the amount of rainfall we get in Scotland, but it does fill our lochs, rivers, streams and ponds and keeps Scotland beautiful - I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world.

We'll keep our water in Scotland and England can keep it's constant moaning about everything to themselves.

Sorry to go on, but this is a huge bug bear to me - am I the only one ?

Very true, but just wait and see,two weeks of sun and there will be a water shortage.
Yep the reservoirs are full (I Think) so no moaners this year!
