Looking for a small but hardy evergreen plant?

Question:We want to plant a small evergreen on either side of our baby's grave. The cemetery is sunny and VERY windy (it's on the prairie). Can anyone suggest a hardy little evergreen plant that is also a perennial that would grow well in such a location?

Answers:
Chamaecyparis or Hinoki false cypress. Slow growing, but needs to be watered during drying winter winds. Make sure you get a dwarf species because some of these can get 60' in height.

Azaleas can get really large or be kept dwarf and you can get the kind that are everblooming so they bloom twice a year. They come in such a great variety, you can pick your favorite color too.

I am very sorry for your loss. I hope this helps.
