How do I clean an excessive amount of oil off slippery wood floors? I can't walk in my new home. :(?

Question:It looks like the old owner used oil soap or something to shine the floors, but it's been slippery for days and I can't seem to wipe them enough to make a difference. I can't even put my furniture in there yet.

Answers:
Buy absorbent pads at your local hardware store. I use them at work when there are hydraulic leaks on the road.

Hmm..you could add some Goo Gone type mixture to water and try wiping them down with that. Or a water/soap mixture.
