A huge fly got into my home a few days ago, and I can't catch it? Will this thing lay maggots?
Question:I've heard really large flys lay maggots. Is it possible this thing will do that some where in my house? I can't catch the fly, and it's been in here 3 days now.

Chances are it's going to die, long before it lays any eggs. As long as you don't have any rotting garbage laying around, it will just buzz around until it kills itself. If your really concerned, buy sticky fly paper and hang it from you ceiling. If you have one fly, you probably have more. You'll be surprised at how much you will catch.
Fly swatters work great. It will only lay eggs if you have warm, stinky garbage laying around or warm soft animal food exposed.
Possibly, but since it's pretty humid where I live, I get about 5 every two days. Just make sure you don't leave any meat out and close all packaged food that you want to leave lying around. Don't worry about it though, I'm sure you'll kill it soon eh?
they lay there eggs on dead animals.were the lave hatch and turn into maggots which feed off the cadaver,,just use fly traps ..
I'll help you catch it.
Turn on the lights and lead it to the bathroom.
The trick is, it will go to the brightest room.
Close door in bathroom once it in there with you.
Now it should be easyer to catch, kill, whatever you want.
the big fly will probably go to one of your windows..It will probably die in a couple of days...It would have to find some sort of food meat, garbage, etc to lay it's eggs on...then you get the maggots...They will attack a potato if it is beginning to spoil...Have you cooked cabbage lately? the big fly will come out in winter from somewhere if you cook cabbage...
hand up some fly paper by a ceiling lite
