Is a black venus flytrap healthy?
Question:I went to Wal-mart once and I was looking for a venus flytrap, because I thought that it would be prtty cool to have in my room. Well I found them in these little tube things, and they were turning black. Dous that mean that they are not healthy of are they suppost to do that? I really want to get one but I don't want to get it if it is dying! Help please!

NOOOO! a healthy venus fly trap is a vibrant green color, and in its mouth will be a bright red. The red attracts the flies. it turns black after its leaves are spent. they turn black as they are dying. Venus Fly traps are delicate plants native of the Carolinas and part of the African Violet family. they require a little bit of a moist environment.
