What's the best way to safely git rid of Locoweed?

Question:We need to git rid of the Locoweed in our pastures prior to turning the horses loose in them. What is the best way to kill it without damaging the land?

Answers:
I would recommend a direct application of Round Up herbicide. I wouldn't use it as a broad spray. A few days prior to turning out your horses should be enough to kill the weed and still not effect the horses.
