What do you call material used to weave thru your balcony to provide shade?

Morning Glories" would be nice. You can grow them from seeds, and plant them in those long narrow green plastic window box liners. Both are available at your local home store or garden center. Be sure to put up wires to the ceiling (bottom of the balcony) upstairs as they will grow to 6 - 8 fet tall. But this would be a perfect solution, and you would be greeted with colorful blossoms every morning, plus privacy vegetation all day long. And it's "green".
