you can get sticky bates, they open up into a flat house about 10cm high and a bit bigger than an average hand. you can fit them under fridges in cupbourds ect. There is a attractive smell on the sticky and when approached and stood on they get stuck. With sprays and so on the cockroach can drop egg case from there behind and you have a whole new cycle again, with these sticky traps the babies get stuck on there too so this also stops reproduction
If you are in australia bunnings sell these
kill the little buggers
get what is known as a roach motel. they go in and stick inside and later u throw the whole thing away
roach motels and sprays don't work...they only help keep them at bay a little bit...you need to call an exterminator.
There is this device that emits ultrasound i think that keeps insects mice and small things out of the house because the sound irritates them try looking for it in the mall and ask the sales lady and find it there. You can put it in the living rroom and it should affect the whole house.
My mother and grandmother swore by spreading small amounts of Boric acid powder.
Many years ago, when I rented a house in a basement, there was a lot of big roaches. I created a trap with a 10L aluminum basin, with almost vertical edges.
At night, before sleeping, I tidied and cleaned everything without letting any crumb of food antwhere, but filled the bottom of my basin with the leftovers of the day.
Every morning, I had a lot of roaches trapped in the basin: They couldn't come up and out after going down to the bottom.
After 2 weeks, the house was cleaned out of them.
